Factory visit with Member of European
Parliament Filip Kaczmarek at Warta Glass
 30 March 2012 - FEVE organized together with the Polish container glass company and FEVE member BA Vidro and Warta Glass, a container glass factory visit with Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Dr. Filip Kaczmarek on 30 March in Poland. Dr Kaczmarek was welcomed at the Polish Sieraków Glassworks close to Poznan by Mr Reinaldo Coelho, President of the Board of Warta Glass, Warta Glass Manager Mr Wojciech Kolpa and Mr Alexander Mohr from FEVE. Dr Kaczmarek, a member of the European Peoples Party (EEP) in the European Parliament, and Member of the Environment Committee, has his constituency in the Poznan region and welcomed the opportunity to visit a container glass plant. Mr Coelho and Mr Kolpa gave an overview over the production process in the Sieraków glass plant and highlighted the environmental benefits of container glass as a material endlessly recyclable in a closed loop system.
BA Vidro is with Warta Glass a leader on the Polish and Baltic States markets of flint glass packaging and operates two glassworks in Poland.  Read More....

MEP McAvan visited Ardagh container glass factory in Barnsley
On 11 February 2011, Ms Linda McAvan, Member of the European Parliament for Yorkshire and Humber, visited the Ardagh Group container glass factory in Barnsley, UK.
 Mark Rozmus, Ardagh Group UK Regional Operations Manager, Ian Steadman, Plant Manager Barnsley, and Sharon Crayton, Head of Group Marketing Ardagh Group, together with Alexander Mohr from FEVE - the European Container Glass Federation- welcomed Ms McAvan at the Barnsley factory.

FEVE Exhibition - Breydel Building - DG ENTR
Glass packaging respects planet’s natural resources and human health
The exhibition was held during the month of October in the premises of DG Entreprise of the European Commission. It aimed at reproducing the bottle-to-bottle production system of glass packaging. Glass is 100% and infinitely recyclable. At the end of its life, glass is collected and it can be recycled in the production of new bottles. Glass packaging is non-toxic and does not contain any chemical substances. It protects human health and it preserves products.

On-Line Press Conference
New insights in sustainability and glass
Brussels, 29 September 2010 ‐ FEVE (The European Container Glass Federation) held a web conference today on the glass packaging industry’s strong record on environmental sustainability and the health benefits of glass.
Speaking at the conference was European FEVE president, Niall Wall, Kathleen van Brempt from the European Parliament and FEVE Technical Director, Fabrice Rivet.
